A Summer’s Supply of Fresh Vegetables
Spring is on the way and I'm looking forward to warching how it progresses! It's currently lambing time at the farm, with new additions to the flock almost every day. And soon it will be time to plant the peas, onions, carrots...
My vegetable subscription business is starting its eighth year of growing healthy produce for the local community. I don’t use any pesticides, and I aim to provide you with produce that is fresher than you could buy anywhere else.
A subscription consists of four months of vegetables for $425. The season runs from the first Wednesday of June through the last Wednesday of September for a total of 17 weeks. The weekly crates of vegetables will be made up of whatever is currently in season. The amount will likely be smaller for the first week or two with an abundance of fresh greens, until the main crops come into production with the heat of summer.
Pick-up from 3-6pm at the farm stand which is located on the corner of Cromer and 42, just 2 miles north of Harrisonburg. $425 including tax due by April 1st.
Home delivery to Harrisonburg, Bridgewater, Dayton and areas in between. $425 including tax + $35 delivery fee = $460 due by April 1st.
If you will be gone or unable to pick up your crate sometime during the summer, be sure to make arrangements for someone else to use the vegetables. There are no refunds for crates not picked up. I don’t sell ½ subscriptions, however, many people share a full subscription between two households, since it is a lot of vegetables for two people to use.
While I don't grow sweet corn, I will be including sweet corn in the crates again for several weeks from a local farm. Please note that while I don’t use any pesticides on my farm, the sweet corn won’t carry that same promise.
You are always welcome to stop by the farm to see how your vegetables are growing or to get your hands in the dirt.
To reserve a subscription, simply let me know if you want a “home delivery” or “pick-up” subscription. Then be sure to send your payment to me by April 1st.
